Places to go with your dog this summer

Marley is a small boston terrier and she has flopped onto her back in a mud puddle, she is wearing a red harness and completely covered in wet mud

Summer is a fun time to get out there and do more. But I suspect most of you do not want your dog to wallow in a mud puddle like Marley. At least not regularly. Are you looking for something a little less messy to do with your dog? We have some suggestions for you!

If you are unsure about whether a place will allow your dog call ahead. If you are going to a place where dogs are not allowed it's best to leave your dog at home where they are cool and safe. Summer is way too hot to leave your dog in the car for even a short time.

If the temperature is only 26 degrees out it will reach 42 degrees inside your vehicle in just 20 minutes. Even parking in the shade or cracking a window open is not sufficient. And, heat stroke can be fatal.
