We go to YOUR home so the pets stay where they are most comfortable!
Our special Play Sessions will be available midday, afternoon, or early evenings only.
Availability for our 2 hour play session will be limited, dependent on scheduling limitations. Advanced notice is requested. If we are not able to accommodate the 2 hour option for the day you request we may be able to offer the shorter 60 minute option instead. We will notify you if that is the case.

We will play in the yard or inside with your dog's favourite toy or we can set up a fun game or activity for them.

A good fun break for one or two dogs from the same household. Great for a midday or midshift boredom break.

A good choice for an active dog. Can be a midday or midshift boredom break or as part of your daily dog sitting schedule when you are away. Can be for up to 3 dogs from the same household that play well (safely) together.

2 Hours
$64 per visit
Great for an active dog that needs extra exercise. Or for a dog with separation anxiety. We can do a long walk and finish with playtime or spend the whole visit at home playing with toys, games, and cuddles. Can be for multiple dogs from the same household but walk time will be limited if they do not walk well together. The focus will be on maximum playtime and fun!

We will set up a fun puzzle, game, or activity to engage their senses and natural exploration and hunting behaviours. We will use treats, food, or other materials.

Why enrichment matters
The term 'enrichment' is getting used more and more and that is because it is such an important aspect to our pet's wellbeing in the modern world. Dogs and cats are inside for the whole day while we are at work and there is so much pressure to be active in the short amount of time we have with them.
However, the concept has a longer history and I first learned about it as a volunteer at the zoo way back in the day. Providing 'enrichment' was something very important to the zookeepers to keep the animals in their care as healthy and happy as possible. The volunteers helped by gathering materials, making enrichment items, fundraising, and buying toys and other things to add to the animals' enclosures. We got to make fun things like pinatas and boxes that food or other scent enrichment was put in. Daily enrichment involved hiding food around the enclosure for the animals to sniff out. And, the design of the enclosure also provided enrichment by allowing the animal to explore and exercise, climb, dig, sleep, or run around like they would in the wild.
For dogs and cats in particular this idea of enrichment can be incorporated into their daily activities, how we set up their space in our homes, as well as special outings and treats we give them once in a while.
How our play sessions and add-ons fit in
Our play sessions can be a recurring activity for your dog or a special occasion. We will play with their favourite toy (such as a classic game of fetch or tug of war) or introduce some scent enrichment, confidence games, learning new tricks, and there will likely be some cuddles involved too.
The idea is that they have a positive experience, enjoy their time with us, and have the rest of their day to relax.
But, we can add a similar experience to any of our pet visits for cats, dogs, and other pets too. Our fun and games add-ons just add that extra level of interest and fun for your pets when you are away on vacation or busy with work and life in general.
