Adopt a Cat? Yes purrlease! Where to adopt a cat in Abbotsford and Mission

June is Adopt a Cat month so it's the perfect time to highlight some of the local rescues in our area. The people involved in these rescues give so much to the animals in their care and are always working hard to save lives. Adopting a cat is a great way to help these rescues, help the cats, and help ourselves.

Local Cat rescues are listed below with links to their adoptable cats based in Abbotsford and Mission.

If you are unable to adopt a cat but would like to help in some way consider fostering. You can either foster indefinitely or offer to foster for short periods of time. Just reach out to the rescues and see what they may need and what works well with your current availability and lifestyle. You could also look at making a one-time or monthly donation to the rescue of your choice, participate in their fundraisers, share adoptable cats on your social media, follow the rescues online and like their posts to show support. All of those things help and can make a difference for the cats.

However, if you are able to adopt and are ready to do so visit these rescues to find the cat for you. When cats are adopted this makes room for another cat in need so you are not just helping one cat but many more in the future. And, if you can take a bonded pair please do! It is so great for pets to have a friend or sibling along to support them in their new adventure, and it gives you twice the amount of love in your home.
