Thank you for your interest! We are currently looking to fill the role of Part -Time Professional Pet Care & Office Support. Pet Care hours will vary week to week based on client demand so we cannot guarantee a set amount of hours each week. We are currently in need of extra help on weekday mornings and around lunchtime, so we require availability between 8 am and 1 pm at least 3 days per week. Pay starts at $18.25 to $19.00 per hour. Lots of driving is required to visit the pets in their own homes all over Abbotsford and Mission. Duties include pet care for cats, birds, rabbits, and other creatures, private on-leash dog walks for large and small dogs, and office support including help with data entry, social media, marketing, and client communication. Do you have a valid drivers license?
Are you at least 18 years or older?
What animals are you willing to care for and comfortable spending time with?
What sized dogs are you able to manage and comfortable walking?
Are you willing to be trained on how to administer medication including insulin shots to cats and dogs?
Please check off the times you are typically available and are willing visit pets. The schedule you are assigned to would vary daily and weekly but we need to determine if your normal schedule would fit with our current clients needs.

Let us know if there is a certain day of the week or time period you could not typically work? A recurring event or activity that would come up regularly such as a church or family activity, exercise class, sports event, your other job, etc. This is your chance to elaborate and ensure we can work around the activities that are important to you.

Furryornot Petcare launched in 2011 and we have served hundreds of clients in Abbotsford and Mission over the years. We take care of pets 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We visit pets in their own home where they are most comfortable, which means we drive all over town and need a reliable vehicle. Visits are typically between 20 to 60 minutes and include feeding pets, giving them fresh water, cleaning up pet messes, playtime and games, cuddles, health monitoring, and more. We bring in mail, packages, water plants, and a do home security check. We also do private on-leash dog walks where we take the dog (or two) out around their neighbourhood for a 'sniffari'.

What's next?

4. Once we have reviewed all the submissions we will schedule a Zoom call with the top candidates.

5. Once we have chosen the best candidate for Furryornot Petcare we will arrange an in-person walking meeting with one of our client dogs so you can see how the job works.

6. We will follow up with our final candidate and make arrangements to begin our Orientation process and training.
